The New England Patriots have certainly had their share of adversity through the years. From Spy-Gate to Deflate-Gate, the Patriots have felt the wrath of league discipline for sneaky moves they’ve pulled.

On Sunday, however, they appear to have been on the receiving end of some mischief.

Visiting the Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium, Tom Brady and the New England Patriots had just avoided disaster when a play that was originally called a “muff” off the hands of Julian Edelman ended up being overturned, leaving New England with the ball.

Apparently unhappy, one Chiefs fan appears to have taken matters into his own hands and broke out a laser pointer to shine on Brady’s face during the game.

Obviously there are safety implications with a stunt like this, but beyond that do you really want to win like that? In order to beat Brady you had to shine a laser pointer into his eye?

Unsportsmanlike and just pretty sad. In the end, Brady moved on to the Super Bowl anyway.
