Rutgers University is right on the border of New Jersey and Pennsylvania, located just South of the famous Ben Franklin Bridge. While it is essentially a stone throw away from being out of New Jersey, it’s not. As a result, it’s one of the Universities featured in HBO’s classic drama The Sopranos.
Sopranos follows Tony Soprano, his family, and the Italian mobsters of New Jersey as they conduct business in New Jersey and beyond. Rutgers is one of the Universities mentioned multiple times in the show, mainly as the school Jackie Aprile Jr. goes to in Season 3.
Rutgers decided to celebrate the New Jersey staple show by adding cardboard cutouts of the main characters.
Tony, Carmella, Paulie, Meadow, Chris, and Sal are all featured in the photo. We won’t give any spoilers, but for fans of the show it’s pretty funny to see a row of characters so loaded with story.
