Special Olympian Amy Bockerstette experienced every golfer's dream on Wednesday when she pulled off an impressive feat at the Waste Management Phoenix Open.

Ahead of the tournament, Amy teamed up with reigning champion Gary Woodland in front of a packed audience to conquer the par 3. One impressive shot led to the next and before she knew it, Amy was putting for a chance for par. As spectators quietly awaited, she stepped up to the ball and drained an 8-foot putt.

Unvelievable! Both Amy and Gary were elated after the shot.

The following is an excerpt from USA Today:

"by far the coolest thing I've ever experienced, Woodland said”. “I've never rooted so hard for somebody on a golf course."

Playing in front of a large crowd was nothing new to Amy. She became the first person with Down syndrome to receive a college athletics scholarship after she signed with Paradise Valley Community College in 2018. Furthermore, Amy became the first Arizona student with Down syndrome to compte in the state high school playoffs, per USA Today.

So yes… Pressure is NOTHING new to her.

As you witnessed, Amy’s parents were front and centre for her big moment. And while they watched nervously, Amy’s father Joe pointed out that their daughter simply doesn’t get nervous.

The following is an excerpt from USA Today:

"She's a gamer," her father, Joe Bockerstette, said. "… She doesn't get nervous; she gets excited."

As the action unfolds in Phoenix, we have a feeling this will remain the highlight of the week. Well done, Amy!
