It’s not every day that soccer fans get to witness a goal off of a bicycle kick. But today was a fortunate exception.

During a matchup against the LA Galaxy on Saturday night, Sporting Kansas City’s Ike Opara scored on a miraculous bicycle kick to put his team ahead 2-0.

Does it get any better than that? From tracking the ball to the kick itself, everything about the play was perfect. Oh yeah- In case you were wondering, Opara isn’t a striker.

He’s a defender.

Players around the league caught the goal and shared their thoughts on Twitter.

Even SKC responded with a hilarious tweet of their own.

The marker proved to be the difference maker as LA went on to score in the 77th minute.

Don’t be surprised if this one is on every top-ten goals of the year list at the season’s end.
