If you traveled down to Buffalo from Toronto on Friday for the outdoor showdown between the United States and Canada at the World Juniors, then you know exactly what TSN Sportscentre anchor Natasha Staniszewski went through.

The QEW was temporarily closed in Grimsby because of a tractor-trailer caught on fire, forcing a massive delay for those trying to get to New Era Field.

There’s not a whole lot you can do except to be patient and try and find an alternative route. So, Staniszewski decided to document her adventure, letting everyone vicariously experience the traffic jam.

Although it wasn’t the frigid experience of watching the game outdoors, Natasha was still able to watch the game with the TSN GO app. Let’s just hope she had enough data on that cell phone plan on hers.

We strongly discourage any sort of drinking and driving, but you knew at some point that a couple of Canadians had to relieve themselves while stuck in the gridlock.

After leaving Toronto at 10:45am, Natasha and her friend finally made it for overtime, turning the 158 km trek down to Buffalo into an all day adventure.

But hey, at least they made it for overtime, right?

Unfortunately for Natasha and Canada, the team lost their second straight World Junior shootout. Natasha, if you’re reading this, it’s all your fault they lost!
