Troy Tulowitzki is one of the hardest working big leaguers in the league, a perfect example for anybody trying to make their way into the bigs.

On top of that, he’s been a prolific player in the MLB since his rookie season. That was all the way back in 2007, a full decade ago. At that time, Ryan Borucki (A Blue Jays pitching prospect) had just turned 13. He was at the age where he was just a fan of baseball, playing video games and messing around.

On Tuesday, he felt like he was playing video games again, as he was standing next to the guy he used to be on Xbox.

The last time I was on the same field as this guy I was playing my Xbox

It’s easy to forget once these guys make it to the show that they’re likely playing with several of their idols. Think about Mike Trout and Albert Pujols. From Mike Trout’s ages 10-15 years, Albert Pujols hit 37, 34, 43, 46, 41 and 49 home runs. There aren’t many people who didn’t recognize his greatness, and now Trout is leading the Angels alongside someone he probably played as on Xbox.

Unfortunately for Borucki – but very fortunately for Blue Jays fans – that may be the last minor league game he plays with Tulo, as he is expected to return from the DL this weekend alongside Josh Donaldson.
