It doesn’t matter if teams are in the middle of a long road trip or if they only have one day off, the players always manage to make time to celebrate Halloween.

All weekend long we saw professional athletes share their Halloween costumes online and now the day has finally arrived. One player who is really taking it all in and getting into the holiday spirit is Winnipeg Jets goalie Steve Mason.

The Jets got in a practice in Winnipeg on Monday before departing for Minnesota to prepare for Tuesday night’s tilt with the Wild, and Mason brought along a new piece of equipment he hopes to be rocking in between the pipes on Tuesday.

The 2009 Calder Trophy winner had a special mask made up for Halloween which features six of his teammates in zombie form. The Jets players on the mask include Shawn Matthias, Blake Wheeler, Mark Scheifele, Bryan Little, Dustin Byfuglien and Tyler Myers.

This isn’t the first time Mason has turned some of his teammates into zombies on one of his masks. Last season, the Oakville, Ontario native had some of his Philadelphia Flyers teammates turned into zombies on his special Halloween edition mask.

Hopefully Mason gets the start in between the pipes against the Wild on Tuesday night because it would be a shame to let such an awesome mask go to waste.
