Marcus Stroman and Jose Bautista have been great friends ever since the young pitcher made the jump into the big leagues.

They share the fiery mentality that has represented this team over the past couple of seasons, but all signs point to Bautista’s run with the Blue Jays coming to an end this season. After a year in which his power numbers have dropped, his strikeouts have spiked and his walks have dropped, it is looking more and more like the end for one of the Blue Jays greatest players of all time.

Well, with today being the final Blue Jays home game this season, like many of the fans at the Rogers Centre, Stroman decided to honour the slugger by rocking one of his vintage jerseys.

That was followed by a pretty amazing moment at the Dome, as the Blue Jays let Jose Bautista take the field by himself and the entire stadium gave him a standing ovation. Hopefully he’s able to channel some of that timeliness he always has and can give the fans one last bat flip to cheer about.
