When you get into sports photography, you are signing up for a relative amount of vulnerability. While photography isn’t always labeled as a dangerous activity, focusing all your attention through a lens makes it tough to read and react to situations around you.

During Georgia vs. Auburn on Saturday, one photographer was the victim of a scary scene after Georgia receiver Brian Herrien collided with her.

Not what you want to see when you go out to watch a football game. Jordan Hare stadium went completely quiet as the medical staff dealt with the situation.

The photographer’s name is Chamberlain Smith, a student photographer for Georgia. A while after the scary scene, we received news that she had been released from hospital.
