Years after Sylvester Stallone starred in the iconic Rocky movies, he found himself in an epic new role in one of Hollywood’s more recent hits, Creed. Stallone, who plays Rocky years later, assists boxer Adonis Johnson (played by Michael B. Jordan), the son of his late friend and former rival Apollo Creed.

The film received great reviews, scoring 7.6/10 stars on IMDb and a 95% on rotten tomatoes, and Stallone even earned a nomination for best performance by an actor in a supporting role at the Academy Awards. The cast appears to be set for the filming of Creed 2 and the 71-year-old had difficulty containing his excitement over it. In a recent Instagram post, Stallone, posted a picture of he and Jordan, which included ‘2018’ in the caption.

We’re not quite sure exactly what was meant with the post, but it very well could be indicating that the film will be out in 2018. If you scroll down on Stallone’s IMDb page, you’ll see that the movie is set to be released next year.

Considering  there were six Rocky movies, we could be in for another long array of classic boxing films. If you’re a real die-hard of the films, Stallone is definitely worth a follow on social media as he will likely be one of the first cast members to reveal the exact date.
