Dad jokes are taking over, and that’s because they’re great. For so long we pretended like we didn’t like them, often rolling our eyes so far back into our head it takes a minute to get them back, but secretly they tickle all of our funny bones.
Over the past few months, dad joke battles have emerged. The goal is to tell your best dad jokes and trying to make your opponent laugh. Some are genuinely funny, others are downright cringe worthy.
On Sunday, the Carolina Hurricanes released a new video with two of their stars – Sebastian Aho and Teuvo Teravainen – squaring off in a dad joke battle. It’s made even funnier because neither speaks English as a first language, making for some pretty great deliveries.
Earlier in the year we saw Justin Williams and Jordan Staal go at it as well.
