Anybody that has played hockey in any capacity knows that goalies have one very, very, very important rule. DON’T SHOOT THE PUCK UP HIGH DURING PRACTICE.

While goalies appreciate feeling pucks hit their pads, warming them up for practice or a game, you don’t want to hit them too high. It’s a greater chance of injury, particularly if the tendy doesn’t see it coming (which they may not during the barrage of pucks at practice).

The Calgary Flames broke that golden rule a few times on Saturday, hitting goaltender David Rittich up high on three different occasions. Instead of yelling at his teammates to keep the rubber down, “Ritter” hilariously decided to take matters into his own hands by skating off the ice and hiding behind the boards in the team bench.

David Rittich has HAD IT with the shots up high, goes to hide on the bench. :joy:
