One of the many lessons we've learned from the 2020 NHL postseason so far is that sleep is definitely for the week.

The NHL had (what felt like) its billionth overtime period on Sunday in the Canucks and Blues' Sunday showdown, which threw a bit of a wrench into the sleeping schedules of those who weren't watching from out West. The game ended at just before 2 AM Eastern Time and to keep fans awake during the game, Edmonton's video board crew sent a reminder that sleep is something we don't really need all that much... at least not during playoff hockey.

Well, at least it is in overtime during the #nhlplayoffs?! 🤷♂️😂. . (H/T r/Hockey)

Look, you maybe you can say that on a Friday or Saturday. But on a Sunday? That's a tougher sell. Those watching knew they were going to soak a bad night's rest, but did they really need the reminder?!

The video board crews from both Edmonton and Toronto have been releasing bangers throughout the playoffs. Just take a look at some of these other gems from the play-in series:

And let's not forget about this beauty from the Blue Jackets' and Lightning's epic Game 1 showdown. Luckily this one started in the afternoon!

Folks, there's tons of hockey that still needs to be played. Be on the lookout for some more messages as the postseason continues!
