As the NHL draft approaches, people have been expecting a lot of action, but the news has started to roll in about what we were most excited for: Alternate jerseys.

Over the past couple of weeks we’ve seen several teams tease new alternate jerseys for the 2018-19 NHL season, which is something we’ve expected to happen since Adidas took over the jersey rights in the league. Carolina is the first one to roll out their new threads and it included a brand new logo.

So far, the reaction seems mixed. Of course, a lot of people were hoping to see a Hartford Whalers jersey, but there was definitely a portion of the fan base that was hoping to see the black jersey and flag once again.

Still, we’re just waiting to see the new Ducks jersey. Please bring back some teal and purple.
