While it looks like we could be without sports for a little while here in North America, there are some leagues beginning to make a comeback across the world. Over in Taiwan, the Chinese Professional Baseball League has started its season up, becoming the first major baseball league to open play this year.
There is a caveat: No fans at the games! Instead, the CPBL is getting creative to fill the stands. Mannequins and cardboard cutouts are packing the stands, and while that can’t be anywhere as good as having real live fans there to show support, it has to be a better sight than rows and rows of empty stands.
Honestly, we’re just happy to have baseball highlights — real, live sports highlights — back in our lives.
