There was a scary moment during a Chicago White Sox game late last month as pitcher Danny Farquhar collapsed in the dugout due to a ruptured brain aneurysm. After spending nearly three weeks in the hospital, the 31-year-old was recently released and is expected to be out of action for the remainder of the season.

On Friday afternoon, the White Sox opened up a three-game series with the Cubs at Wrigley Field and the home team put the inner-city rivalry on hold to show some love for Farquhar.

The classy gesture did not go unnoticed and was greatly appreciated by the White Sox and their fan base.

Last night, the White Sox relief pitcher let fans know he’s back at home and on the road to recovery with his first post since the incident occurred.
