Today in weird baseball records, the Diamondbacks are doing just fine.

If you’ve taken a look at the MLB standings at any point over the last two months, then it’s a certainty that you would have seen the D-backs smack at .500 or just near it. See, for the past 60 games, Arizona has been within two games of .500 — good for a new MLB record of being extremely okay.

It’s really the most ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ of baseball records. The record was previously held by the Oakland A’s, after 56 straight games within range of .500 in 2007.

At least the Diamondbacks are looking fresh in these old purple-and-teal throwbacks while they’re at it. So, there’s a D-backs win that you can’t take anything away from.
