Baseball has a little bit of a different mood to it this season with no fans in the stands. For 29 of the 30 MLB teams, it’s much more sad not having fans screaming alongside of them. The one exception, for obvious reasons, is the Houston Astros.

Saying that, another fan base is trying their best to support the team from as close as they can possibly get. Outside Citizens Bank Park – home of the Philadelphia Phillies – a group of fans self-labeled the “Fandemic Crew” has been gathering to participate in the game from afar.

While you may think their impact would be a small dent compared to the stands being filled with fans, the “Fandemic Crew” has actually been wreaking havoc so effectively that New York Yankees manager Aaron Boone actually went to complain to the umps.

The commentators said what we were all thinking. What can the umps even do about it? The fans aren’t in the stadium!
