The Battle of Alberta has been one of the top rivalries in the NHL and fans go nuts over it. There are very few things in hockey that rile fans up more than a good rivalry.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic restricting travel between the US and Canada, the NHL has to realign the divisions, a move in itself that had Canadians fired up.
What's more, teams will be seeing each other multiple times with this new look, and you know what that means... The Battle of Alberta not only sees each other for the first time on Saturday night, but eight more times during this shortened season and tensions are at an all-time high.
The Flames are coming off back-to-back losses and they say that Battle of Alberta is just what they need right now to get their competitive juices going.
