Tuesday night, the Carolina Hurricanes will rock their Hartford Whalers jersey for the final time this season when they take on the Bruins in Boston.

There's been some controversy with the jerseys from fans as not everyone is thrilled that the Hurricanes are wearing Hartford's jersey.  In fact, ahead of the game against the Bruins, the Hartford Yard Goats tweeted this out "in defence of the honour of the Whalers legacy."

Shots.  Fired.

The Rockies' Double-A affiliate doesn't want to see the Hurricanes rocking the Whalers jersey and they aren't alone.  Earlier this season, Dougie Hamilton specifically was criticized for wearing No. 19, which was retired by Hartford.

The Hurricanes don't care about the criticism, especially because they're winning a lot and on the verge of making it back to the playoffs for the first time since the 2008/09 season.
