In sports, and in most things in life, you have to pay your dues and do your time.
Being the new person in any situation can be pretty stressful, and especially stressful when that situation is a Major League Baseball team. A little rookie hazing, when done kindly, tastefully, and in good nature, can lighten things a bit.
The major storyline on the Toronto Blue Jays this season is their promising rookie core, and today, the whole lot of them had to pay their rookie dues by playing a little bit of dress up.
This provided some hilarious opportunity for the veterans to take some photos, and the whole team a chance to have some fun.
What adds to the fun? The Jays managed to win their weekend series against the Yankees with a 6-4 win today, so the rookies might have to sport these consumes more often, so not to ruin the luck they must have brought.
Also, because they’re pretty hilarious.
