Do the Los Angeles Kings suffer from a Taylor Swift curse, and they trying to... shake it off?

According to Arash Markazi of the Los Angeles Times, the Kings have made the decision to cover the Taylor Swift banner that hangs from the rafters of the Staples Center; Swift holds the arena record for sold-out shows. This decision to remove the banner reportedly comes following negative fan feedback.

The Kings aren’t breaking any new ground with this decision, since the Clippers also cover the banner for their home games. Since the banner was raised in the summer of 2015, though, the Kings have experienced a swift fall from grace from Stanley Cup contenders to coaching and front office overhauls.

It remains to be seen what covering the Taylor Swift banner will do about the bad blood between Drew Doughty and Matthew Tkachuk.
