Whenever a player is traded, one of the first thing fans want to know is what number that player will wear with the new team.  For the first time in his career,  Jake Muzzin will have to wear a different number now that he's a member of the Leafs.

Muzzin had worn No. 6 for his entire career before being traded, but that number is occupied by the legendary Ace Bailey.  His No. 6 is hanging up in the rafters, so Muzzin will rock a new number with Toronto.

According to Hockey Reference, 36 players have worn No. 8 before Muzzin, the latest of which was Connor Carrick.  Muzzin will take on that number now and we couldn't help but notice he'll be wearing the same number as a former teammate of his.
Muzzin practiced with the Leafs for the first time on Thursday and was paired with Morgan Rielly.
