They’ve finally dropped.
On Monday morning, the NHL and Adidas released its Reverse Retro jerseys for the upcoming season. Every jersey includes at least one aspect of a former jersey, and when we say they’re wild… we mean they are WILD. Logos, colours, some made for some great ones and some made for … interesting ones? Let’s go over them division by division in alphabetical order. First up…
ATLANTIC DIVISION
Okay, so a couple of stick out and a couple of them could maybe use a little work? Both Florida teams are showing up to next season in style while the Red Wings… well, they look like they’ll be showing up to practice in style? Not much to that one. As for the Leafs… interesting logo choice (or size of logo we should say). The Canadians in blue is going to look strange too!
METRO DIVISION
This might just be the best division overall. The Caps bringing back the eagle… The Statue of Liberty… the Whalers on grey… the only thing we needed here was the fisherman! Come on Isles, this one was a no-brainer!
CENTRAL DIVISION
Another beauty set here. The Avs, Blues and Wild are all so clean (although an ‘M’ on the Wild’s would’ve done the trick as well), but a few left some fans scratching their heads a bit. The Jets logo is great, but where’s the red?! And Dallas… where’s the gold? We’ll have to see how they look on the ice.
PACIFIC DIVISION
THE WILD WING IS COMING BACK! THE WILD WING IS COMING BACK!!!!
This is probably the most unique division of the four. The Wild Wing is obviously awesome, and how about that Coyotes jerseys? And Blasty is coming back!!!! Really just an A+ group all around here… they’re beautiful!
