Just when we were wondering, how could you top the singing of O Canada from the first two games of the Finals? Performed by Jordan Smith and the Tenors for the first time in NBA Finals history during Game 1 and then Brampton native Alessia Cara in Game 2, Canadians everywhere were feeling the goosebumps.

It looks like the Raptors are thinking outside the box for Game 5, and this one might really be special.

Instead of having a performer lead the anthem, the Raptors will apparently let the crowd take over. We can’t think of any way better to do the anthem. As for the American anthem, it will be performed by R&B singer-songwriter Monica.

This will be cool 👀🇨🇦

Yeah, safe to say, we can’t wait to see how this plays out. Are we on Canadian heritage moment alert?

Throughout these playoffs, we’ve been hearing O Canada loud and often, and not just when it’s being performed before games. Fans are liable at any time to break out in anthem, whether that’s on home soil in Toronto or even on the road in Oakland after an away win.
