Well Kawhi and Danny Green, It was nice while it lasted.

In the early hours of Saturday morning (Eastern Time), reports revealed both players are leaving the Raptors, Kawhi to the Los Angeles Clippers on a four-year, $142 million max deal and Danny Green to the Lakers on a two-year, $30 million contract.

Their tenures with the Raptors were short, but the most significant in franchise history as both played huge roles en route to the franchise’s first Larry O’Brien Trophy. Each player’s decision wasn’t the result the Raptors had in mind, but the organization remained all class by releasing this touching tribute video on Saturday afternoon.

We’re not cryin’ everyone… YOU ARE.

The man who brought both players to Toronto, President of Basketball Operations Masai Ujiri also made sure to include a special thank you. Ujiri traded DeMar DeRozan, Jakob Poetl and a 2019 first-round draft pick in exchange for the duo last summer.
