During Remembrance Day on Saturday, the hockey world paused to take a moment of silence to honour those that served overseas to keep our country’s safe.

Numerous teams elected to sport a Remembrance or Veterans Day jersey in warm ups ahead of Saturday slate of hockey games.

The Swift Currents Broncos of the WHL wore a special jersey in their game against the Lethbridge Hurricanes on Saturday night to honour November 11th, and they were awesome.

On a day where we remembered those that put in serving in the military for our freedom, the Broncos gave their fans a memorable performance in front of a sold out crowd, as they shut out the Hurricanes 6-0.

After the game, the jerseys were given out in a raffle draw.

The Broncos sit second in the WHL’s East Division with a 13-3-1 record.

Well done, Swift Current.
