It isn’t always that you see a baseball team rock a uniform inspired by a hockey team, but we suppose the Hurricanes can thank Don Cherry for the free PR.

The Durham Bulls, Triple-A affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays, are partnering with the Hurricanes for their “Bunch of Jerks Night,” and they have these Hurricanes-style uniforms prepped for the occasion.

The jersey is a relatively simple one, all things considered, but we love the idea behind the partnership. Now, the question is, are the Bulls going to do a Storm Surge of their own after the game? Seeing the Storm Surge at a baseball game would really be something else.

The Hurricanes unveiled new jerseys of their own today. After owner Tom Dundon’s long-standing beef with the team’s road uniforms, the Canes have a new set that is giving us major college hockey vibes.
