The Minnesota Wild have consistently ranked in the top ten in attendance in the NHL, but on Monday night the Xcel Energy Center was nearly empty when the puck dropped on their game versus the Senators. But the empty seats had nothing to do with a disinterested fanbase.

Ahead of the game, the midwest region, which includes Minnesota, received 8-12 inches of snowfall. That made things a little tricky for fans who were on their way to the game. Actually, it was also a problem for the players, too

Just in case you're wondering how far the Senators hotel is from the stadium, it's about three blocks. That's right...45 minutes to travel just three blocks. The blizzaard presented quite a bit of a challenge for fans who attempted to make it to the game before puck drop, as illustrated by this photo shared by a user on Reddit.

For the Wild fans who were able to make it to the game, there efforts were rewarded with a 3-1 victory.
