LeBron James is now a Laker and the city of LA surprisingly has mixed feelings about it.

Some are obviously thrilled that ‘The King’ will now don yellow and purple for the coming years, but others aren’t as fond of the idea. A local artist painted a beautiful mural of James in Los Angeles, only to see it eventually get vandalized. Luckily, an artist built up the courage to paint a new masterpiece, and let us tell you, it did not disappoint!

Not bad at all. Here’s a look at how it compares to the previous one.

It’s too bad the city can’t keep both!

It’s pretty hard to believe that a fan wouldn’t want a player like James on their roster. Sure, the guy is in the latter half of his career and rivaled Kobe Bryant for a short period of time. But we’re talking about ‘The King’ here! One day, a free agent could be standing before a similar mural, only to see James painted on the wall with the other champs on it.

LeBron will enter next season with a great deal of pressure, considering the franchise trails only the Boston Celtics with 16 championships. Time will tell if he’s able to cement himself as a Lakers great.
