Spring Training 2018 is officially underway!

One the first official day of spring training games, MLB teams came together to wear special hats with the letters ‘S.D.’ on them to honour the 17 victims that have their lives taking from them at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkdale, Florida.

For the Toronto Blue Jays, the 2018 season represents a chance for a bounce back season after the club finished fourth in the American League East with a 76-86 record after reaching the American League Championship Series in the previous two seasons. The Jays roster features some turnover this season with an influx of player’s that you might need to be introduced to.

Frank Gunn is a professional photo journalist with The Canadian Press and has been snapping some of the high quality photos in sports you’ll ever come across. A veteran of the industry for the last 22 years, Frank is down in Dunedin covering the team as they kick off their Grapefruit league schedule. You’ll notice that the Jays are wearing a special patch commemorative No. 32 patch at the bottom of their left arm sleeve.

So, without further to do, here’s some of Frank’s best work he’s captured so far.

The Jays are 1-1 so far, and play again on Sunday afternoon.
