While January may not be the greatest time of year for a lot of North Americans in terms of weather, it is a fantastic time of year for sports fans. NHL and NBA season both reach their halfway points where the contenders begin to pull away from the pretenders ahead of the trade deadline, MLB offseason heats up and teams begin to take shape ahead of Spring Training, and lastly, but certainly not least, the NFL conducts its ultra-intense, high-stakes, loser-go-home playoffs.

In the NFL’s quest for the Super Bowl it is fun to see teams in a different light. While the New England Patriots are frequent returners to their Conference Championship match, the three other teams still standing – the Jacksonville Jaguars, the Minnesota Vikings, and the Philadelphia Eagles – have never won a Super Bowl between them, and even more surprisingly they all had losing records as of one season ago.

Speaking of seeing these teams in a different light, graphic designer and concept jersey artist Jeff Tasca went to the trouble of putting together some hypothetical jerseys if each of the AFC/NFC Championship combatants were to instead be facing off in the NHL’s Eastern and Western Conference finals (Swipe through!)

These are seriously slick threads, reminding us of when the Vegas Golden Knights released their jerseys before the 2017-18 season kicked off. While it is tough to nail a look that is well-liked by everyone, these uniforms are just about as close as you could get. If CFL is more your cup of tea, you can find those concept jerseys here.
