The trading card industry almost runs entirely on nostalgia, as those who collect 2.5" x 3.5" cards tend to do so because they enjoy reminiscing about the good ol' days in sports. But why limit your sports nostalgia trips to real life sports heroes when you can reminisce about fictional characters, too?
Little Big League, Sandlot, Remember the Titans, the Office, Saved By the Bell, Stranger Things, Dodgeball, Hot Rod, Seinfeld, Creed, Caddyshack, The Might Ducks...Cuyler Smith's collection at Gallery 1988 features these shows/movies in this brand new throwback card set. Not only do the cards feature illustrated images of some of your favourite fictional athletes, but it also features whimsical bios on the back as well.
Don't put those cards in your bicycle spokes. But seriously, we couldn't recommend that. The full set is $600. At least, that's what it was going for before it sold out. Not to worry, though, as if you're still looking to buy individual cards, you can find those at the G1988 website!
