When Boston Celtics guard Gordon Hayward went down with a broken ankle, the basketball world collectively held their breath and put their face in their palms. It was easily one of the most shocking injuries to take place on an NBA court.
As soon as the injury occurred, players from around the league began to reach out to Hayward, wishing him a speedy recovery, showing just how tight knit the NBA community is. Tuesday, Kevin Durant posted a new vlog on his YouTube channel that featured a special message to Hayward, as well as footage of his immediate reaction to watching it occur live.
That was the look of a person who knows just how hard Hayward is going to have to work to come back from an injury as serious as that. Nice to see an NBA superstar show love and support to a fellow player at a time where they need it most.
