Sometimes, you’ve just gotta do what you gotta do to get yourself a new stick.

Even if it means surrendering a family member.

A young Avs fan with a front row seat to Wednesday night’s home game against the Jets showed up front and centre with a sign saying he’d trade his sister for an Erik Johnson stick. He happened to be situated right beside Colorado’s bench and managed to catch Johnson’s eye. Turns out that his plan worked and he landed himself a brand new twig!

Dude, not cool! Anything for a new stick we suppose?

Sadly this wasn’t even the funniest/weirdest moment from warm-ups. Captain Gabriel Landeskog also tried do a fan a solid by flipping him a puck from the ice. Unfortunately the fan didn’t recognize his surroundings and ended up throwing an elbow to the guest beside him. To make matters worse, he gave the puck to the fan in front of him instead of his visibly rattled friend.

Yikes.

There really are few better things to see in the game than a player making a young fan’s dream come true. EJ is one thing, but imagine getting something from the one and only Phil Kessel!

What a beauty.
