Thousands were on hand to witness France capture the 2018 World Cup, and among the bunch included a couple of celebrities.
After sharing his Stanley Cup experience with his home country, Washington Capitals captain Alex Ovechkin made sure to catch the championship match. As the day unfolded, Ovi ran into none other than the smack-talking UFC legend Conor McGregor. The two posed in a legendary photo together in which they each raised a fist up in the air.
The Russian and Irish superstars were just two of a handful of celebrities at Moscow’s Luzhniki Stadium. Others included fellow NHLer Evgeni Malkin and Will Smith, who appeared to be having the time of his life today, and the days leading up to the game.
McGregor hasn’t exactly been in the media for the right reasons over the past year, but you can’t help but smile after seeing this epic photo.
