John Tortorella is nothing if not unique. He always keeps the media on their toes with his quick wit and playful banter and he’s done it again as his team prepares to facet the Golden Knights in Vegas.

Torts was asked about his players going out in Vegas and he said the last thing we expected him to say.

He clearly has an old-time mentality and there was no shortage of players partying in the past. So, in his opinion, it’s actually important for the boys to go out and have a good time in Vegas. He wants his team to know what it’s like to play “guilty” in the NHL.

This isn’t the first time we’ve seen this kind of suggestion from someone involved with the NHL either.

This must be a pretty popular motto behind the scenes because it was Mike Commodore’s suggestion for the Edmonton Oilers when they were playing their worst.

All of this would go a long way to explaining Vegas’ unbelievable home record that basically everyone predicted.
