In case you missed it earlier this morning, Canada tied for gold medals in two-man bobsleigh with a German team in the competition.

With the German team already having done their final run, the Canadians were barreling down the course for their fourth run of the day, slightly ahead of their competitors after the final checkpoint, and ended up tying in the end. It was a shocking moment that had the competitors celebrating together.

After people had settled down though, people started to realize how big of a coincidence this really was. First of all, it’s not one run that was tied, they managed to tie after doing four separate, cumulative runs. Second, this isn’t the first time this has happened. 20 years ago, Canada also tied in the same event at the Olympics.

If you noticed in that last tweet, it also happened to be the same person calling the game for Canada. It truly was déjà vu for Canada on their latest gold medal.
