On Sunday afternoon, all eyes were on legendary golfer Tiger Woods at the Valspar Championship. The 42-year-old sat in a top five position heading into the final round and a shot at the championship was within reach. On the 17th hole, down two strokes from the lead, Woods flashed his vintage self on the green when he sank a deep 44-foot putt. A monstrous applause ensued thereafter.

“Are you serious?”

Tiger finished the day -9, good enough for a tied second place finish with Patrick Reed. The championship trophy was eventually awarded to Paul Casey, who ended the tournament at -10.

A champion once again. 🏆

Woods hasn’t won a tournament since the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational in 2013, the last time he captured the Player of the Year award. With the Masters right around the corner, Tigers’ strong finish is sure to spark some hope in his fans. After all of the injuries and adversity from recent years, it appears as though the California native is finally back, which means Augusta could be in for a wild, wild tournament.
