For years now, our own Jesse Pollock and Toronto Maple Leafs star Mitch Marner have been – for better or for worse – associated with one another. This is not because of personality, hockey skill, or style. It’s solely looks-based.

Some people agree, some do not. In fact, Marner himself does not agree.

@jessepollock22 Mitch doesn’t seem to think we look alike 😅. Do you? 👍 or 👎? @jessepollock22 #nhl #hockey #doppelgänger #toronto @Toronto Maple Leafs @bardown ♬ Silent Sound - Silent Ringtone

Anyway, these guys have gotten to know each other over the years. In July, they were reunited once again at the Marner All-Star Invitational – a charity hockey game that includes a skills competition. It provides an opportunity for kids of all ages to hang with their heroes and enjoy a fun day of hockey.

If Mitch is looking to disassociate with Jesse, he didn’t get off to a hot start when they both say “How ya doing” at the exact same time in the exact same tone.

Jesse also took the opportunity to talk to other hockey stars. Erin Ambrose, Sarah Nurse, Anthony Cirelli, and Marner’s teammate John Tavares all chatted with Jesse about some of the hockey-related questions we’ve been tweeting about.
