Game 1 of the NBA Finals tips off on Thursday night in Toronto as the Raptors host the reigning back-to-back NBA champion Golden State Warriors.

While the players will be battling it out on the hardwood, fans from each city will have a chance to go head-to-head in a friendly competition to see who can raise more money towards charity during the seven-game series.

Raptors fans will be representing the SickKids Foundation, while Warriors fans will be raising money towards the Alameda County Community Food Bank and the San Francisco-Marin Food Bank.

While fans go head-to-head in the charitable competition during the NBA Finals, Toronto Mayor John Tory also put up a case of Henderson Beer Co., a St. Lawrence Market peameal bacon sandwich, Spacing Store apparel and a cup of Tim Hortons coffee, while Oakland Libby Schaaf will put up Oakland’s best coffee, beer, BBQ sauce, and Oaklandish apparel.

The Raptors took both games against the Warriors this season, outscoring Golden State 244-221 in the two games.
