This is just his second season in the NBA, but Trae Young is playing well beyond his years, and he carries himself like a pro off the court as well.

He's giving back in a big way. Young is cancelling over $1 million in medical debt for Atlanta citizens who can’t afford to pay them.

“The city of Atlanta has welcomed me with open arms,” Young told Atlanta-based WSB-TV. “Giving back to this community is extremely important to me. I hope these families can find a bit of relief knowing that their bills have been taken care of as we enter the New Year.”

What a way for the 21-year-old to step up for fans in the community. Made through the RIP Medical Debt non-profit that strategically buys and forgives medical debt, Young’s donation of $10,000 actually wipes out over $1 million of debt for 570 people, and getting out from under that burden is going to have a massive impact on those families.

He’s only about a year and a half into his Hawks career, but Young is winning fans for life.
