June is Pride Month for the LGBTQ+ community, and to mark the beginning of the month, the United States and Republic of Ireland national soccer teams will adopt rainbow jersey numbers as part of their team kits in their international friendly on Saturday.

It’s pretty neat to see the two teams show solidarity for the LGBTQ+ movement, and certainly, it livens up an exhibition game between teams that failed to qualify for the World Cup this year. As you can see, both the men’s and women’s U.S. team also plan to wear rainbow numbers in friendlies for the remainder of the month.

In other news related to soccer kits, we would be remiss not to mention Nigeria’s standout World Cup uniforms. They took the soccer world by storm when announced, featuring a bold design with neon green and a striking zig-zag pattern, and sold out online is mere minutes:

No word on whether or not the rainbow number kits will be made available for sale, but we’re calling it now: Visually loud soccer jerseys is going to be a major look this summer.
