Vegas is officially a hockey town after this weather abnormality

The 2017-18 NHL season has had its share of surprises, but the biggest surprise by fas has been the Vegas Golden Knights.

With tonight's win, the Golden Knights pass the 1993-94 Florida Panthers for the most points recorded by an expansion team with 84 points!!#VegasBorn

In a league that has seen its fair share of disappointing expansions teams, the Golden Knights have played their way into the history books (and playoffs barring a collapse).

For all those people that questioned Vegas as a hockey town, there's been more than enough evidence from their inaugural season to support that Vegas has embraced the Golden Knights and become a hockey town.

If you're not convinced, though, some interesting weather on Friday cemented Vegas a true hockey town.
