The year is 2019, and Vince Carter is still hooping. Monday’s game between the Atlanta Hawks and the Miami Heat was actually something of a throwback, as the leading scorers in the game were Dwyane Wade with 23 points and Carter with 21 on seven three-pointers.

With that performance, VC actually sets a record for the oldest player to score at least 20 points in a game at 42 years and 37 days old... breaking his own record set earlier this season, when he was 41 years and 337 days old.

This guy just has all of the records in his bag, doesn’t he? With this being his 21st season in the NBA, he’s tied four other players (including Dirk Nowitzki, who is still holding it down for the Dallas Mavericks) for the most seasons played.

In Monday’s game, Carter also passed Reggie Miller for 20th in all-time scoring with 25,280 career points. Not bad! We would be fortunate to get another year of VC in the NBA.
