Hockey players are a tough breed, nobody is arguing that. Even given their reputation, sometimes their incredibly high bar for toughness can be jaw dropping.

Maybe jaw dropping isn't the most appropriate term to use in this particular case.

Vince Dunn revealed that his jaw was broken during the St. Louis Blues Western Conference Final clash with the San Jose Sharks. In Game 3, a Brenden Dillon point shot caught Dunn in the face, and what was originally labelled an "upper-body injury" turns out to have been quite a fiasco.

Was it worth it, Vince? Apparently so.

That's the kind of quote that will certainly win you brownie points in the hockey community. Just don't try to eat any brownies, it's soup for a while there bud...

Dunn went on to tell Rutherford that it was a scary moment. He didn't immediately remember the play, and explains that it was all a blue. He just saw blood coming out of his mouth and went to the bench.
