The Winnipeg Jets are on the brink of elimination, but the city’s mayor is playing his part in reminding fans that the series isn’t over yet.

After taking a 1-0 lead in a dominant performance at home, the Jets responded with three consecutive losses; two of which took place in the Vegas Golden Knights’ T-Mobile Arena. Following last night’s loss, Mayor Brian Bowman hilariously used an old Vegas expression that should spark some hope for Jets fans.

Winnipeg’s return could not come soon enough. The Golden Knights have won all but one game at home in the postseason and tied the Toronto Maple Leafs and Tamapa Bay Lightning for the best home record during the regular season. Ironically enough, the best belonged to the Jets.

The playoffs have told a different story, as Winnipeg has won just two games at home in its last two series. But with their season on the line, there’s not place they’d likely rather be than in front of their fans at Bell MTS Place. Fans inside, and out will be pouring their hearts out in what will be the biggest game in franchise history.

Unfortunately for the Jets, they’ll have to head back to Vegas if they can come through in Game 5. It’s going to be interesting to see if they can still make this one a series.
