Zdeno Chara seems like a very friendly man off the ice – he always posts the most wholesome Instagram captions – but he seems to have a pretty short fuse on the ice as Connor Murphy found out.
Murphy is a pretty big customer himself at 6’4”, 212 lbs., and apparently he felt like trying to poke the biggest bear/Bruin in Chicago’s game against Boston. On a simple offside play, after the whistle was blown, Chara had the puck and Murphy decided to give him a stick lift and take the puck. He then proceeded to skate through the Bruins’ zone with the puck while holding off Bruins players who started to chase him down.
The main player chasing him was Chara and he did not look happy.
That is the last person we would want to see that angry in the NHL.
Although, like we said before, we’re not even sure if you could make him angry off the ice. Look at how wholesome all of the content he posts on Instagram is.
