Alexander Ovechkin and Brooks Laich spent a lot of time together in the NHL. Laich was acquired by the Washington Capitals during the 2003-04 season, in the trade that sent Peter Bondra to the Ottawa Senators. However, he didn’t make his debut with the Caps until the 2005-06 season, which happened to be Ovechkin’s rookie year.

The two played together for a good 10 years, but it all came to an end when Laich was dealt to the Toronto Maple Leafs during the 2015-16 season.

Laich recently posted a photo on his Instagram account which features him grinding a bunch of fruits and vegetables, with the caption mentioning how he’s a huge advocate of homemade organic juicing.

Of course, being the fun guy that Ovi is, he left a comment on his former teammate’s photo letting him know how he stays so fit and dominate.

That's solid healthy living advice, @aleksandrovechkinofficial! 👍🏻

The combo might work for Ovi, but we don’t recommend taking his advice, even if he is one of the greatest goal scorers in the history of the NHL.
