Unless you’re a die hard baseball fan, you’ve probably never heard the name ‘Scooter Gennett’ before Tuesday night’s action.

The 27-year-old is playing in his first season with the Cincinnati Reds after spending the first four years of his MLB career with the Milwaukee Brewers. Not exactly known for his power at the plate, Gennett entered Tuesday night’s game against the St. Louis Cardinals with three home runs on the season and 38 career dingers in 1,754 plate appearances.

After starting his night with a single in the bottom of the first inning, Gennett went on to put forth a historic performance the rest of the night.

Gennett hit a home run in every single at-bat the rest of the night, becoming just the 17th player in MLB history to hit four home runs in a single game.

Since the Reds’ utility man entered the game with just three home runs all season long, you can bet the viewers on Twitter had some fun with his historic accomplishment.

The Reds went on to crush the Cardinals 13-1 behind Gennett’s unbelievable performance.
